Product updates — 2 November 2026

Initial production release. This is the first public production build of Crispper for restaurants — Tokyo on the floor (we call it Tokyo by Crispper / Crispper POS) and Console for owners — after the work that began in April 2026.

Stable installers are available from crispper.com/downloads (Windows, Android, iOS & iPadOS). Version 26.10.29.

New features

  • Crispper POS (Tokyo) for production — Take orders, print bills, send kitchen tickets, and run the floor on Windows, Android tablets, and iPhone / iPad.
  • Public downloads — Get Windows and Android builds (and App Store links) from the Crispper website, with clear next steps to create or sign in to your Console account.
  • Release channels — Canary, beta, and stable builds so we can test carefully before every restaurant gets an update.
  • In-app updates — Tokyo can check for newer stable builds from our release CDN so counters stay current.
  • Console for owners — Manage brand, outlets, team, devices, and billing in the browser or on the Console mobile apps — same login as Tokyo.
  • Inventory on the floor — Inventory workflows and sync so stock stays aligned between Console and Tokyo.
  • Portrait Fast mode — A portrait POS layout for tablets and phones when the counter needs a tighter, faster flow.
  • Floor plan tools — Place and manage tables for dine-in service.
  • Menu tags — Tag menu items for clearer organization and floor workflows.
  • Settlement and cashier tools — Clearer settlement sharing and cashier dashboards for end-of-shift work.
  • Care feedback & ratings — Collect guest feedback and ratings through Care.
  • Google Business Profile (read) — Pull hours and reviews where connected, for owner oversight.
  • Guest khata WhatsApp messages — Send khata-related WhatsApp messages when that flow is enabled.

Improvements

  • Faster, clearer portrait POS navigation and input under pressure on the floor.
  • Stronger offline / local-first checkout paths so billing keeps moving when the network blips.
  • Better Android connectivity detection so staff know when the device is online again.
  • Setup scoped per outlet so multi-outlet brands don’t mix completion state across locations.
  • Session fingerprinting per device install for safer Tokyo sign-in and device management.
  • Marketing and downloads pages rewritten so owners can find the right app (POS vs Console) without guessing.
  • Production catalogs and plans seeded for live onboarding and billing.

Bug fixes

  • Windows and Android release packaging hardened (native assets, Shorebird / flavor builds, version collisions) so installers match what we publish.
  • Inventory clearance and sync edge cases cleaned up so counts don’t drift after busy service.
  • Catalog type / rate-code collisions resolved so menus and taxes don’t collide after updates.
  • Order notification bursts collapsed so the floor isn’t spammed with duplicate alerts.
  • Console / Radar provisioning and outlet-create failures fixed for production databases.
