How to add POS staff
Short description: Create floor staff accounts with a passcode so they can sign in on Tokyo without your owner login. Manage them under Operations → POS staff.
Before you start
- Billing is active for the outlet (see Billing, quotes, and subscription).
- You are owner or admin on the outlet.
- You selected the correct outlet in the location picker.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open the outlet → Operations → POS staff.
- Tap Add staff (or Create staff).
- Enter first name and last name.
- Choose a role (for example cashier, captain, or kitchen — labels match your venue setup).
- Set a passcode (PIN) the staff member will enter on Tokyo. Use something they can remember but not too easy to guess.
- Save. Console confirms the staff member was created.
- On the Tokyo device, staff choose Staff sign-in (or equivalent) and enter this passcode for this outlet.
- To disable someone without deleting history, use Disable or turn off Active on their row.
- To change passcode or role, open the staff row and edit, then save.
