How to manage Tokyo sessions

Short description: See which tablets or computers are signed in to Tokyo for your outlet, and revoke a session if a device was lost or staff should sign out remotely.

Before you start

  • You are owner or admin on the outlet.
  • The outlet is selected in the location picker.
  • Staff have already signed in on Tokyo at least once (otherwise the list may be empty).

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the outlet from Network → Outlets.
  2. Go to OperationsTokyo sessions.
  3. Review the list. Each row usually shows:
    • Staff or owner name
    • Device name or type
    • Last activity time
  4. To force sign-out on one device, tap Revoke (or End session) on that row.
  5. Confirm if asked. That device must sign in again on the next action in Tokyo.
  6. Use this when:
    • A tablet was misplaced
    • A staff member left and should not stay signed in
    • You need to free a device slot for someone else

Add a Tokyo device (hardware slot)

Owners and admins can register device slots (name + 2-letter code) when billing is active:

  1. From the outlet, open billing or device management where Tokyo devices are listed (your Console version may show this on Billing or a Devices screen).
  2. Tap Add Tokyo device.
  3. Set a name (for example “Counter 1”) and a short code (exactly 2 letters or digits, unique for the venue).
  4. On the next screen, set device username and password if prompted for POS credentials.
  5. Install or open Tokyo on the hardware and sign in with those details or an owner account.
